This would be a good choice if you're looking for spacious rooms and comfortable beds at reasonable pricing. It's not a five-star hotel: the limited food options (especially for dietary restrictions like vegan/vegetarian) and small staff preclude that, but it's a safe, comfy place to sleep between explorations of the city. Pros: comfortable beds, personable staff, cleanliness, laundry service. Cons: food options (even the limited room service menu is likely to run out of the listed options), lost laundry (it was found and delivered within the two hours), sustainability. Let me deal with that last con: sustainability. We very carefully reviewed the tri-colored waste bin and dutifully separated our waste for recycling. We happened to be there one day when housekeeping came by, and we watched them dump the whole thing into a trash bag. If that's the case, don't provide the recycling options. On the flipside, the napkins at breakfast may be sustainable: each breakfast napkin is actually toilet paper. Two connected sheets = one napkin. Curious. Overall, I'd stay here again if I were look to get value for money.
Pros: rooms are lovely, clean, spacious, modern, comfortable. Restaurant and bar were great. Gym is a great facility. Very close to the tram for quick access to go into town. Also next to the football stadium and across from a lovely park. Cons: service was 3.5-4/5 stars. We ordered room service for dinner one night and the food was great. We called again for beef tartar and cheesecake, and were told they down have cheesecake on the menu (?) though it is listed. They must have been busy, so they asked if we could come down to get the order. Not a big deal. They have a late night snack menu that stops at 23h30. Saturday night we called to order a pizza. Host said “no,” and we pushed back as they had a menu available. It was not past hours. They sighed and transferred us to the bar/kitchen. They told us they were “out of cheese,” which must be a lie or excuse to not fulfill the order. They are in hospitality, and have cheese available at breakfast. A bit strange. Not a big deal but it was weird. On final mention, they allowed us to check in early, which was truly great! They wanted to give us beers as a welcome gift, but entered the room while one guest was showering and the other was sleeping… they came back later while we were gone to drop the beers off. Note: three young women stayed in the room.
The hotel was clean and had a stylish interior, as expected from a Hyatt property. One feature I really appreciated was the water dispenser at reception offering both still and sparkling water — a thoughtful touch. The rooms were clean and of decent size, though not particularly spacious. The only downside was the location.. it’s not within walking distance of the Old Town, but it’s just a short taxi ride away.
