Hyatt Place Shanghai New Hongqiao

Staff can't speak English and they do not have manner of services. All receptionist at the counters are not willing to help customers. Breakfast is not good neither. Bad Bad Bad. That's all I can say.

Worst hotel in Hongqiao: bad location, faraway from metro and bus stations. The building is very old and shabby, the entrance looks like an abandoned shelter. Rooms are not well ventilated, their air-con is central controlled, so you cannot control on your own. One side of the building is facing the roads(noisy), the other side is very hot in summer. So do your best to avoid staying here. Breakfast is also very limited, worse than other competitors. The food tastes bad. Front desk, one of the lady was not very friendly.

I just went downstairs and told the front desk that the 9th floor is full of cigarette smoke and the odor has entered into my room! Unfortunately the front desk doesn’t seems care at all instead he replied like a robot “ok, I’ll send housekeeping to check.” and that’s it! It still smells like cigarettes in my room!!!! As a severe asthma patient I honestly can’t deal with this kind of environment and the staff here doesn’t want to help! I definitely do not recommend this particular location 👎👎👎👎👎👎
