Hyatt Regency Barcelona Tower

Had a nice, albeit quick stay here for a layover flight. It’s about 12 minutes from the airport by car, so definitely more convenient than staying further downtown. The rooms were spacious and had a good view of looking towards the city center. Service was friendly and attentive. We had dinner at the Terrace restaurant on the 1st floor. Food was pretty good overall, Ali was the man taking care of everything from drinks, to food orders, seating people. He was very friendly. I’d say this is a very good value hotel for something close to the airport.

From the moment I arrived at the Hyatt Tower Barcelona, Sebastian and Fernando went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and cared for. My trip could have been a disaster after my flight was unexpectedly canceled, but thanks to them, it turned into one of the most memorable experiences I’ve ever had. Sebastian greeted me with warmth and genuine kindness, immediately making me feel at ease despite my stressful travel day. Fernando’s attention to detail and willingness to help with anything I needed truly stood out. They both took the time to ensure I was comfortable, offered helpful local recommendations, and always greeted me with a smile that felt sincere. It wasn’t just about great service — it was the personal touch, the feeling that they truly cared about my stay. Thanks to Sebastian and Fernando, I left Barcelona with incredible memories instead of frustration. The Hyatt Tower is lucky to have such dedicated and outstanding team members. I will absolutely be returning — not just for the beautiful hotel, but for the people who made my trip unforgettable.

My experience at this hotel was unfortunately disappointing, and I would not consider it worthy of its advertised 5-star rating. We had paid for our stay in advance, yet upon arrival I was unexpectedly informed of a €300 deposit requirement, something not stated on the hotel’s website. Even a Hyatt representative later confirmed that we were not meant to be charged this deposit. The initial attempt to process the deposit failed, and the receptionist proceeded to note down my bank details, yet the payment still could not be taken. During my stay, I used items from the minibar and calculated the total myself, only to be charged €8 more than expected. While this may seem minor, it was frustrating, especially given the already slow and inefficient service at the front desk. By the time I noticed, I chose not to dispute it simply because I was checking out the next day and did not want to let my food get cold. In my travels worldwide, this property unfortunately ranks in my bottom five for service and overall guest experience. The room did not inspire me to document my stay, something I normally do for my audience when I travel. I believe the hotel’s current rating overstates the standard delivered, and a 3-star classification would be more accurate. The only positive aspect I can mention is the housekeeping team. They were hardworking, kind, and polite, and their service stood out in an otherwise disappointing stay. I’ve never been more excited to go home.
