We came in on a red eye and arrived to the hotel early in the morning. Andrew was able to get us into a room around 9am so we didn’t have to wait until normal 4 pm check in. Location is great. Walkable to all the Boston sites. Pool was clean, indoor, made for a great rainy day activity. Gym- well equipped for a vacation work out. Breakfast at the buffet was great. Lots of options and plenty of time as it is served over several hours. Concierge made sure we had water as we left on and outing and it was over 90 degrees. Overall fantastic stay. I will stay here again on a return trip to Boston.
My experience at this hotel was outstanding from start to finish. Check-in was smooth and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The entire property, including my room, was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The hotel’s location is ideal—just a short walk to popular downtown sights and shopping. I especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet—it was fresh, well-organized, and the staff ensured everything was spotless. On-site parking made things even more convenient. Highly recommend and would definitely return!
I'm so incredibly disappointed in my recent stay at the Hyatt Regency Boston. As a Hyatt Globalist, I’ve come to expect a certain level of service and consistency—something that, unfortunately, fell short multiple times during this visit and thereafter. First, regarding the room upgrade: I fully understand that upgrades are not guaranteed. I’ve stayed nearly 100 nights with Hyatt in the last 18 months. I know that policy well. However, in this case, I received an email from the staff earlier that afternoon confirming that I had been upgraded. When I arrived at the hotel in the evening, I was told that there was no record of the upgrade. Second, and more concerning, was the lack of follow-up from any of the staff members. Upon checkout, I spoke with the Assistant Front Manager, who assured me she would look into the situation. She said she will talk to the General Manager about it at the 9am meeting and that I would receive some form of explanation. No response for over two weeks. I emailed the General Manager and finally heard back. This was my first time staying at the Hyatt Regency Boston, and regrettably, I felt like just another guest—rather than being recognized as a loyal Globalist who has chosen Hyatt time and again.
