Hyatt Regency Chongqing Hotel

Not many places in Chongqing carer for westerners so a good choice if you want standard international buffet food for breakfast and dinner. Local options available too but when in China for a while a nice omelette and fruit for breakfast and grilled fish and veg is what you want. Rooms are fine and air con works well. Gym is good too.

Recommended. Well located in busy shopping zone. Hotel was quiet. Rooms large, despite the cold, room was warm and even with window open. Rooms well appointed & comfortable. Staff friendly and like most of Chongqinq, English is NOT widely spoken get the translator app and staff happy to help you. Breakfast buffet large, mostly Chinese, but I was happy with my 3 day stay. Would return again ++

This Hyatt Regency Hotel in Chongqing is located near a popular and busy shopping mall. I booked here four nights with lounge access. The staff even spoke a little bit English and was very polite and friendly throughout my stay. I particularly liked the lounge with the happy hour offer in the evening, where they had a decent buffet and good selection of alcoholic drinks. For breakfast in the morning you were allowed to go to the normal restaurant, as the lounge was open from 12:00h only. The breakfast choices were of high quality and abundant with both asian and western dishes. Eggs were prepared custom-made. I was also very happy with the quiet room including a large bathroom, as it was very spacious, clean and located on an upper floor with good views. I also enjoyed using the pool and the saune, although the sauna could have been much hotter. It was a pleasure staying here!
