Incredible service from the staff here, they are a lovely and professional group who made the stay easy and enjoyable. The rooms are exceptional, make sure you get a room with a view of the mountains, the premium is worth it for sure. Make use of the hotel shuttle but beware of the busy times in the morning and afternoon. First one leaves around 9.45 if you need to get out early. The breakfast is Japanese style, be aware if this for when you order the omelettes which are not US or European style and may not be what you expect. Be sure to ask for well done if that is what you are used to. A good selection overall. The living room does good lunch and dinner, I recommend the udon hot pot. A great Hyatt Regency overall.
Absolutely loved staying here. It was a great place to stay for our visit to Hakone. The food was amazing, especially for us. Since we are vegetarian and this was a perfect menu. The rooms are great, but you can start to tell the rooms are not brand new. That being said they are clean and very well maintained.
Great location, great service, wonderful experience staying here! We decided to stay here because of the on site onsen. We booked two rooms - the rooms are pretty spacious (honestly, I’m unaccustomed to this much space while traveling anymore!) one of the rooms was an upgraded suite with a tatami floor. Both rooms had a dressing room, a spacious bathroom. The onsen was well equipped- lockers, dressing rooms, and really good quality of toiletries. The one drawback of the onsen was that it was indoors - the outdoor onsens have much better ventilation and you can last much longer :) One of the most appreciated features was their shuttle - back and forth from the Gora station that is available on request! We were able to venture out in town knowing it was available to bring us back. If you decide to do the circuit around Hakone, the shuttle makes it so easy to get back at the end of the day. The staff is nice. We had dinner in the ‘Living Room’ - the hotel has a great room set up - plenty of couches and sofas and a fireplace- and there were a good number of vegetarian options! The food was also good! Definitely recommended
