A true 5-star experience. This large format big brand hotel is everything these types of downtown hotels should be. It has an old style layout, but the hotel property has been kept up well and refreshed, which leads to an OUTSTANDING stay. The atrium is a great entryway that serves as a wonderful meeting spot for groups. A couple restaurants and a 24/7 Einstein Bagels in the atrium make it every enjoyable. Service was outstanding before, during and after our stay. Ryan at the front desk is a great local guide and very friendly. The rooms are very spacious and have modernized amenities that hit the mark at every turn. Really liked the coffee bar and mini fridge area, as well as the bed lighting. Plenty of drawers and closet space as well. Large bathroom and again, very clean, refined and kept up well.
We stayed for 4 days, very clean and friendly services. Plenty of elevators with open view of lobby and city. We were on floor 7 and although you could hear noise from downstairs it wasn’t bad at all. Bathrooms super clean and fresh towels every day of our stay. Beds were ok, maybe too soft for my back but overall great stay. It was in a nicer part of downtown.
Stayed here for a conference. Heads up: we didn’t realize “double beds” meant full size-not queens-so if you need more space, book a king with a fold-out couch instead. The hotel did offer us an upgrade, but unfortunately nothing was available at the time. Rooms are on the pricey side. Ours had no trash bags, came with 3 towels and just one washcloth… which didn’t really make sense for more than one person. Also, prepare to wait on the elevators-seriously, they can take 20-30 minutes during peak times. One of the conference elevators even broke down while we were in it. Definitely not the highlight of the trip. The hotel food? Meh. Unless you’re planning to eat a lot, the buffet isn’t really worth the cost-they might want to consider a pay-per-plate or lighter eater option. On the bright side, the bagel shop downstairs is really good. Definitely worth a stop!
