This is a modern, comfortable hotel placed near the JFK airport. The room we got was spacious and clean. It had two bathrooms, a bedroom and a sitting room. We could admire NYC skyline from the windows. We had trouble turning off the light at night, its unobvious. Finally after 30 minutes we figured it out. It’s a great place to spend your first night in NYC, although later you should move to another hotel. I heard that there are buses to take to and from the airport so you don’t need a taxi or hire car.
If you’re looking for a modern, comfortable hotel near JFK Airport, Hyatt Regency JFK might just be the best-kept secret. I stayed here during a layover and was pleasantly surprised by how new and clean everything felt — I believe the property is just about two years old, and it still feels fresh and well-maintained. While it’s a bit farther than some other airport hotels for immediate terminal access (especially if you have tight connecting flights), the overall quality makes up for it. The rooms are spacious, averaging around 32 to 36 square meters, and the bathrooms are spotless with a sleek design that beats many hotels in its class. There’s ample parking, and the property is attached to Resorts World, so you’ve got access to a food court and other amenities just downstairs — very convenient if you’re not up for leaving the premises. One of the biggest surprises? The soundproofing. Despite being right next to JFK and watching planes go by, the rooms are impressively quiet. You won’t hear a thing thanks to solid acoustic insulation and double-glazed windows. A quick note of caution: if you’re booking through third-party sites like Booking.com, just double-check the pricing and final costs, as I noticed some lack of transparency on their end. But that’s more about the platform than the hotel itself. Verdict: Stylish, clean, quiet, and functional — a strong choice for travelers who want a reliable stay with modern comfort, even if it’s a bit of a ride from the terminals. I’d stay again without hesitation.
The hotel is nice and enjoyable, with large and spacious rooms, we stayed in a double bed room. More towels in the bathroom would have been appreciated, but otherwise everything was perfect. It’s about an hour’s trip into the city, and the location is great for easy access to the airport. One thing to note, on both of our stays here, the room keys stopped working on checkout day, so we had to visit the front desk to have them reactivated. We also had to pay extra for early check-in and early checkout. Overall, a comfortable and convenient hotel, especially for airport travel.
