Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort

Absolutely fantastic time at the hotel 2025, which was 17 years since last time we visited this hotel. Friendly staff and nice rooms. Very good food and the variety at breakfast was amazing. Fantastic Spa, but a bit pricey. Very close to the beach that sometimes have nice waves to play in. The hotel was upgraded during covid and is very nice.

I had such a pleasant stay at Hyatt Regency! The overall vibe was calm and welcoming, and the room was very clean and comfortable. Special thanks to Marya, the friendly hijab-wearing staff at the restaurant — she was so kind, always had a big smile, and made our dining experience extra special. We had a small billing issue where another waitress accidentally keyed in a slightly higher amount than the actual bill, but Marya quickly noticed it and got it fixed without any fuss. Truly great service! The food was a solid 4/5 — tasty and enjoyable. Reception staff were friendly and efficient, and the security team was polite and helpful. Everything felt well taken care of. I would definitely come back for another stay.

We returned to the Hyatt Regency in Kuantan for a weekend break after a 15 year absence. We had lived locally and this hotel was somewhere we spent a lot of time when our children were wee. We were delighted that, while the venue hadn't changed, it had been upgraded to a high standard. It felt both very familiar but also...better. Our children, now young adults, really enjoyed being back and exploring familiar places. The Teluk Cempedak is a remarkably beautiful place. All of the staff went the extra mile to ensure we had a very enjoyable stay, but an extra shout out goes to Nurul and to Kamal who helped us with logistics and travel plans. Special care was taken to ensure there was delicious local food available for one of our party who is vegetarian and has to eat a gluten-free diet. The chefs were very helpful, which we all really appreciated. The breakfast buffet is very much worth the extra and we all enjoyed revisiting much-loved local flavours before we started our day. We booked club level rooms, which had been renovated to a high standard, and we enjoyed being able to use the club lounge for evening nibbles and enthusiastic board games.
