Hyatt Regency Merida

I am here with your group. Right off the bat out AC unit has something in the fan so it takes horribly. One mention to the front desk and it was fixed within an hour. Rooms are spacious and modern. Bathrooms and showers are great. Breakfasts are included with the rooms and they are first class. The hotel location is great. Handy to the airport, local shops and Centro. They have an amazing roof to lounge and pool which is shady and breezy during the hot afternoons and cool at night for an evening soak. Staff here are outrageously attentive and top notch attentive. Many Americans here including military.

The hotel is located in a nice part of Merida making everything very walkable. The staff is great, very nice and welcoming. The room was fine but it smelled bad, kind of like pee. The bathroom had mold above the shower head. The bathroom does not have a fan so that likely contributes to the mold in the area. I would stay here again but not in a room with mold in it.

I only rate when I have great or terrible experiences. Do not come to this hotel. Rooms are old, dark, with things waiting to be fixed and soulless. The only not dark thing in the hotel was the gym, but its equipment is old. Never consider this hotel (Not a real Hyatt Regency).
