Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk

We love to stay right on the Riverwalk the room was pretty good but a light would not shut off and kept us up part of the night until I covered it with a towel. The traffic outside of our window even though we were on the 7th floor was a little loud up until about midnight with cars in traffic honking and having a good time. Great for people watching. The swimming pool was less than desirable but we didn't go there to swim anyway

We truly loved this hotel. The staff was super friendly and helpful especially the front desk and the valet. The location was perfect, and the facilities were clean and modern. We especially enjoyed the open interior design with the little river and bridge near the entrance. The only thing that we have a complaint about is that the water pressure in the shower was nearly nonexistent. A shower that should have only taken 10 minutes, took nearly 45 minutes and even then you weren't sure if you were going to be able to rinse all the soap and shampoo off of you. Other than that, everything was excellent.

We drove 5 hours to San Antonio, excited to stay at the Hyatt Regency Riverwalk. Check-in went smoothly, but the experience quickly went downhill from there. When we got to our room, we discovered the toilet wouldn’t flush. We informed the front desk and maintenance was sent up but after returning to the room an hour later, the toilet was still not working. We had to call again, and the technician returned. He was polite and tried his best so many times, explained that it seemed like something might have been stuck from a previous guest. He was kind enough to speak to the manager about moving us to a new room. After waiting another 30 minutes, we finally got moved. We thought things would improve with the new room, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. There was no hand soap, and worse, the A/C didn’t work. Once again, we had to contact the front desk and wait for someone to come check the air conditioning. By this point, we were exhausted and frustrated. We had hoped to relax and get some rest before our 12-hour drive the next day, but instead, we couldn’t even shower until 10pm due to all the back-and-forth. Honestly, we expected much more from a hotel of this caliber. The staff we interacted with were courteous, but the room issues and delays made this a very disappointing stay. Would not recommend based on our experience.
