This newly acquired Hyatt property provided a good trip for our adult family. We had three rooms in our group and ranged from 70s to 20s. Room size, room service, and waiter staff was amazing. Each person we encountered for meals provided top service. Be advised it is always better to make reservations to ensure your party has your preferred dining location/time. Most meal locations standard resort level food, except for Deamlo, Spice, Aziana where the best for the all inclusive options. If you want a 5 course experience they have a few for additional charge. The pool on party side was always a fun vibe. But if you prefer there is a quite pool side as well. CON: - you gotta make reservations but at the time of my stay there was no way to do it online - at every turn we were being offered upgrades or asked to sign up for more and more extras. I grew tired of the sales pitches at every turn. - Swim-up bar staff was horrible and rude. That was the only location the either disliked Americans or only took your order if you showed them tips first. - this location at the time of my visit had a small short beach.
Overall, a really great experience. We were there for three days and the first two days were amazing. Service was phenomenal. They were refilling our drinks before we could even think about it! The waiters remembered our names and offered a very very, very, very, very many refills and assistance. This was on a Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday it was a little bit busier and we did notice that either the servers we had or the service was just a little bit worse and I’m not sure if it’s because it was a little bit busier and more crowded those two days we were also in a larger group after our first day for a group event And we sat at two different tables and this day we did not get any refills on any drinks and we were very thirsty during breakfast. We also made our way out to the swim out pool in there my husband cut his foot on a broken tile. We didn’t get compensated for anything in regards to that even tho they mentioned they were going to try to do for us but we never heard back and at check out they actually asked about my husbands foot and we let them know it was actually still pretty bad and the lady checking us out was just like “oh okay” lol our family members also had really slow service at the swim up bar and they complained and got comped a bottle. Going to upload a pic of the foot that was cut on the broken tiles! This was it after a few days! Aside from that, we had a great trip and enjoyed our swim up suite!!
I’m so disappointed with that change in ownership. I came back thinking it would be the same as Hilton. The guests feel different as well as the service. It feels like a carnival cruise when I was at dinner they had people with gang related clothing yelling and cursing the whole time. The food is not as good. The location is amazing and the rooms are great. The food is still good. The guests change is the worst part it feels second rate, almost motel 6 style. I would avoid if you have standards and don’t want to be around riff raff I’m unsure why the change happened or why they allow it. Also a lot of people smoking on property or at the pool and such things that did not happen when it was Hilton. In total I spent over 4 thousand dollars for this trip and didn’t think it was well spent. I got the presidential suite. I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere.
