I was on the adult only side. I was impressed with the room, fabulous bathroom, the shower was huge with a sitting ledge, waterfall and regular shower heads, double sinks with a vanity area and double sided closet, also a toilet closet (with a door separating it from the rest of the bathroom). We had a nice poolside balcony with table and chairs and a big lounging couch. The room had a loaded mini fridge, tiled floors, California king bed, queen size sofa bed and huge TV. The resort is all inclusive with several restaurants and lounges, theme nights, and live entertainment. The pools were gorgeous and the resort grounds opens directly to the beach. Food venues were all over resort with a variety of cuisines, most closed at 11pm, but the resort has 24/7 room service. My only problem was that the after hours food quality wasn't the best. Otherwise it was a great amenities and wonderful stay.
We stayed at the resort from June 14–20, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The service was exceptional, and the food was outstanding—honestly, some of the best I've ever had at an all-inclusive resort. The staff was attentive, and the dining options were diverse and high-quality. However, I was disappointed with the alcohol selection. The resort advertised top-shelf liquors, but these were only available at the club level, which came at a premium that didn’t feel justified for what was offered. The standard bars had limited options, which was a letdown for those expecting a more upscale experience. Despite this, we still had an amazing time and enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere. One downside was the seaweed on the beach, which was particularly heavy during this time of year. It made swimming in the ocean unappealing, and the smell was noticeable. The resort made a commendable effort to clean it daily, but it wasn’t enough to make a significant difference. For future visits, I’d plan to return between November and March when seaweed is less of an issue. Overall, a great stay with minor drawbacks. I’d recommend this resort, especially with proper expectations about the alcohol and beach conditions.
My husband and I stayed in late January/early February for a business incentive trip. Some pros, the adult side was very quiet and you couldn't hear anything from the family friendly hotel at all. The little water park was a fun diversion and the restaurant offerings were very nice. The tacos and food offered beach side were out of this world. The beach was gorgeous and we loved the feel of the gym! The nightlife was fun but (for our particular group) we felt that the offerings closed fairly early for an adult hotel. While we felt the resort was very safe and pretty to look at, there were some issues that were beyond our control that marred the experience. We traveled with another couple from our business and joined roughly 30 other couples for our trip at this location. At check in, our room held an overwhelming smell of mold and mildew. We compared with our friend's room and ours was REALLY bad. We called down to the front desk, but since there was another much larger incentive group also at the hotel we couldn't be moved. Instead, we received a dehumidifier that had to run 24 hours per day, and had to be emptied every 4/5 hours or so or it would overflow all over the floor. I'm unsure what caused the next issue, but something like 12 to 13 persons in our group experienced stomach issues ranging from mild to stuck in their rooms to having to get pharmaceutical meds brought to the hotel. Also, I felt that having too many persons from incentive trips was a downer (especially since there was also a large (lovely) wedding planned at this location as well). The larger group took EVERY SINGLE CHAIR by the larger infinity pool with larger banners, flags and towel holders each day. I felt that they could have spaced us all out at least a little bit or not booked multiple incentives at the same time... I can't imagine what regular travelers felt. The Spa was very pretty but they clearly valued their serenity. We had booked our appointments with the other couple we traveled with and we were shushed multiple times for talking to one another as we moved through the hydrotherapy stations. We also were hustled in and out where we would have loved to sit and enjoy the grotto longer... but maybe we were too loud for that? Ultimately, I probably would not return to this location in the future.
