Hydra Beach Resort

The hotel is wonderful - the grounds are beautifully landscaped with lots of trees and lush greenery, creating a peaceful and idyllic atmosphere. The beach is fantastic and the rooms were in excellent condition - clean, modern and very comfortable. The food was fine, although not exceptional - but this is often the case with all-inclusive vacations and it didn't detract too much from our overall experience. The only downside was the shuttle service from the airport, which was not very well organized. However, this seemed to be handled by external providers and is probably not directly the responsibility of the hotel. All in all, we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation in a beautiful setting.

We are staying at the hotel at the moment. We understand that it’s going through a transition period from previous management to new. Pros:The rooms are clean renovated and spacious. The buffet food very good. Large variety and tasty. Kids mini club good. Generally kids had fun at the pool. Cons: the common areas and gardens need maintenance. The kids entertainment needs an upgrade, 20 mins kids disco and that’s it. And actually today due to “tech issues” was not working. The pool and beach bar should open earlier, otherwise if you want a coffee in the morning you need to go to the main building at the buffet. More snacks variety. No hair conditioner.. was advised that this was due to factory production issues. Which I find quite ridiculous considering the price we pay. Generally it’s not a 5 star, close to 4 star.

I will start first with location after you leave highway to Hotel last 120km are very bad lot of corners and not good asphalt so its very very far away, service is not good at all you can't find a place to have a coffee in evening there is no bar or lobby bar that works after 19:00 so if you need to go out and work something in your laptop or speak/stay with family then such possibility doesn't exist, room was big spacious etc but there was another family in other side of room and only a wooden door divide us sound insulation bad so we can hear each other like being in same place also there is no drinks no water no coffe no water pot in room, food was very repetitive and not much options to choose, parking space is outdoor not much shadows so your car will get hot like being in Sahara...those are big things that I don't like. What was acceptable is : cleaning of room was fine, some staff very good and ready to help you out especially pool bar and kindergarten, outdoor spaces clean and good, pool with salt water which I like, seaside good sea not best of what you find in Greece but acceptable.
