Hydro Hotel

We had a wonderful experience. The hotel is absolutely charming. There are several places to sit & relax that are picturesque. The staff are friendly & helpful. The views are breathtaking!!! I could have spent the entire day just watching the landscape from my room. I honestly didn’t want to leave. I had a very relaxing massage at Yanda Therapy, which is located on the first floor next to room 121. I highly recommend including this in your stay. We had dinner in the beautiful Crystal room, both of our meals were delicious & served in a timely manner. I highly recommend this hotel. I would love to come every summer.

I truly love the Hydro and have been many times over the years, with and without my Mum. This past weekend was our yearly weekend getaway together for some relaxation, peace and quiet. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful, the staff and service are consistently wonderful and the food is delicious. The pool is always a wonderful treat. I cannot praise these aspects enough. The Hydro is really a wonderful place to stay and I'm really grateful for all the staff and overall experience. But unfortunately the one thing that ruined this particular stay was the guest and music noise from the weddings. I don't want to be a party pooper and I'm not sure how this would be resolved, but I do feel that some kind of compromise needs to be reached during these events for the sake of the other guests. We did not sleep well and returned home feeling extremely tired. My room was on the side of the Garden Suite and the music and noise from the wedding guests went on until very late Friday and Saturday night. Myself and my Mum were constantly disturbed by slamming doors in the corridor throughout the Saturday night and at 3am someone above me was stomping around there room extremely loudly. Unfortunately this did ruin our experience somewhat this time.

Lovely hotel, exceptional staff particularly in the main restaurant. Good sized bedroom & bathroom. Food very good as was the service. Only trouble was no air con in room (220) & windows only opened a little way so slept poorly. Maybe return in the winter months.
