Hyll Hotel

Stayed for a couple of nights whilst attending a friend’s birthday celebrations. The ‘tents’ are superb. Ours had a toilet indoors, with a shower hut located conveniently alongside (with plenty of hot water). Wood burning stove for heating a cooking was great, kindling and hardwood supplied (I think the first bag is included). Candles and oil lamps for lighting give the place a warm, romantic feel. Plenty of seating indoors and out, with the additional benefit of a bbq outside. Plenty of privacy. Three rooms, we had the double at the back. Very comfy bed, lovely duvet which kept us snug all night. Beautiful part of the country, peaceful, tranquil. Thoroughly recommended. This is camping on steroids….😄

Not a typical guest house or hotel. It's more like here's a bunch of wood, some candles and a tent, go and enjoy the pre-industrial revolution life.

Brilliant gardens, not much of the Manor itself, but overall as the plant lover enjoyed it a lot
