The location is great! It was walking distance from the main shopping area and from our favourite Montréal restaurants. The room was nice as we had an end room so it quite large for our family of 4. It had a huge bathroom and a sizeable shower. It has a beautiful pool and a small workout area to do cardio and some weights. It's an overall beautiful hotel and well maintained. The reason for the 3 star service rating was because there weren't enough towels (only 2 bath towels for a room for 4 people) and when we asked for more, they couldn't find any bath towels and had to give us pool towels for bath towels. We also needed more toilet paper as we were only given a roll and a half for our 3 day stay and when we asked initially, they forgot and we had to call again since no one came to bring some. They could improve check-in by allowing for fast room check-in online or digital room cards with an app like other comparable hotels. This would decrease the wait to check in. They could also allow for check-out through the t.v. to again decrease waiting time. Overall, we would stay here again.
Pros: clean and modern, close to interesting parts of town. Lots of amenities around. Pool room was pretty. Beds were super comfy and sheets were soft. Room was spacious. Cons: - Our room was on the 7th floor on the corner of the Main Street. It was incredibly loud every night with trucks and loud car motors. All 3 of us were woken regularly throughout our 3 night stay. - Lighting. There are no ceiling lights so we found the room very dark in the evening when we were trying to unpack and eat dinner in the room etc. Not enough light in the bathroom either. Also the hallways were dimly lit even in the day, despite no windows, and it just felt gloomy. - Conversely, the light from the AC panel plus the weird square glowing on the wall that seems to serve no purpose as you can’t control it, fully light up the room at night. For someone who is not light sensitive it probably isn’t an issue but my family is so it was rough. - There was a staff member (male) with a garbage trolly who pushed himself into the elevator when there were already 5 of us in there. No “excuse me”, or waiting for the next one like all the other staff seemed to do. When it was our floor to exit, he was mostly blocking the door and we had to squeeze by the cart to get out. He did not attempt to move or apologize for blocking the way, he just stood there. It was very rude. - The pool room was pretty but unbearably hot. It was bizarre. They need more air flow or something, we felt like we couldn’t breathe. Also the pool towels are a bit of a strange system, there should be a note in the guest room stating that the pool towels are there, rather than getting all the way up there expecting there to be towels, only to find a note saying they are back in the room. They are in a drawer so it’s not immediately obvious. - The bathroom door barely opened and closed, it was very difficult to move. It’s also a frosted glass sliding door with huge gaps on either end so no privacy, and if someone uses the washroom in the night and turns the light on, it lights up the whole room. - Not enough hooks for towels (only two) especially considering you are expected to bring your pool towels back to the room with you. Overall it was ok, but I wouldn’t stay here again.
We have stayed last year here and it was great. They went to major renovations and rooms are new. To point out that AC in the room was loud. Couldn’t control from the thermostat nor from the actual unit. When we arrived rooms were not ready which again it is not a problem however never apologized never offered anything in return. Hotel is great location however front desk staff are not friendly nor polite. Attitude “we don’t care about you” is unacceptable
