We stayed in room 103 for 3 nights at the end of Winter Carnaval and found the hotel close to all the best Quebec City has to offer visitors. We were fortunate to arrive when Peter was manning the desk and he graciously helped with our luggage, which would have been a challenge given the cold and snow. The room was modern and spacious. The bed was comfortable and quiet, on the back side of the hotel facing away from Grand Alle. The bathroom had a beautiful shower and an automatic toilet, the likes we had never seen but nevertheless found spectacular. There are many fine restaurants nearby and the old city is a short 10 minute walk. I found everything spotless and in perfect order. The only suggestion is to include a boot tray outside each room during the cold months in order snow and ice stays out of the room. Overall, the Ophelia was an outstanding experience and highly recommended to those who want a smaller, quiet and intimate accommodation.

Exceptional hotel! Our room was modern, clean, quiet and very comfortable. Manager, Norman, and his staff are clearly focused on customer service. Best ever! The Restaurant Ophelia was so good we didn't want to go anywhere else. Filet/steaks and fish dishes were great, all with outstanding service. The best hotel experience we've had in more than 25 years.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and 3 days for the anniversary. The location is convenient, and the staff were friendly and polite. However, the overall experience fell short of what I expected from a 4-star boutique hotel. Although they offer a text-based communication service, there wasn’t consistent staff presence to provide timely assistance. Additionally, during my stay, the unit directly below mine was undergoing bathroom renovations, which meant I had to move to a smaller room — a frustrating inconvenience. There was also an unpleasant odor in both the shared spaces and the room, which affected my comfort. This hotel has potential, but it needs to address these service and maintenance issues to truly meet 4-star expectations.
