Hôtel Casino 2000 Adult Guests Only

Very good italian restaurant with friendly staff. Located near the thermal area of Mondorf

Service and food was good. There were a lot of people smoking on the terrace which was very displeasing. Would recommend to eat inside when you don't like the smell and the smoke of the cigarettes.

We had booked a 2 rooms for the night so we went for the check-in. When we entered the hotel, a staff member was sleeping open-mouthed on one of the restaurants tables. There was apparently no one else than the maid available to welcome us. We then learned from her that there was an issue with our online reservation and that there were no rooms for us. She was panicked and most importantly she seemed irritated by our problem and she kept sighing every 20 seconds. After at least 20 minutes, someone else (owner?) came to her rescue, but she wasn't much of a charm either. After another 10 minutes, we finally had our room keys. The roms were old-fashioned and the equipments are dated, but at least it's clean. Seems like the cleaning lady, on top of trying to welcome the guests, does her job right. There was a plastic bag wrapped around the toilet pipe, I guess it's an acceptable fix for a leak. Also in some rooms there are small kitchens, but there is a note saying that following some fire starts, it's forbidden to use them. We never had any words of excuse for the treatment and the waiting at the reception. We didn't eat there (breakfast is 10€ and apparently not worth it according to a family member) mostly because of the flies and the heat in the restaurant (plus there was a guy sleeping on the table!). The price is 80€/room/night for two people, which given the standard is quite a lot. I wouldn't recommend it, even for a night or a drink.
