Hôtel Christiania

An impeccable resort. All staff members went above and beyond to make our stay perfect, we felt very welcome despite speaking little French. A special thanks to concierge Nicholas who was very helpful and welcoming! A very very convenient location, only a 2 minute walk from the ski fields, and very close to the shops and restaurants. Ski rentals was made very efficient as they are partnered with killy sports, so our skis and boots were both delivered and collected from the hotel. The rooms are very spacious and warm, the bed is very comfortable. The room was cleaned daily, the bathroom is large and very clean. Breakfast was lovely, with incredible service and a large buffet with delicious food and fresh croissants. The spa was clean and very relaxing after a day of skiing. Would highly recommend a massage, they were very very good! Many thanks to the team

I was part of project here, i didnt sleep in the rooms however I have seen them. What is exceptional about this hotel is the service some of the stuff will give to you. The concierge Nicholas always have a very kind word for you and treat you with such impeccable manners that really makes you feel a true lord. At the bar Elisa will surely got to the point with the perfect drink for you, expressing a knowledge and passion for what she does that will make the experience memorable (thanks for welcoming me to the "italian long island" and "mezcal old fashioned "🤤). At the restaurant, the quality and variety of the buffet is just what you need to charge your battery and taste some excellent food. Paul the maitre will be sure you will have a great time, suggestion you the perfect combination of wine and food and also spending a nice chatting time. The location is just perfect to reach any slope or main attraction in the city. I really enjoyed coming here, mostly on Friday nights when en exquisite couple will delight your night with beautiful songs Hope to see you soon again Hotel Christiania! Best Luca

Warning: not even close to 5* Starting with the positive, the staff and service are excellent. That being said, we found it incomprehensible that somewhere claiming to be a 5* hotel had: - no fridge/minibar in the room - no hot drink facilities in the room (told we could request coffee from room service, and had to pay for these) - no iron and they were unwilling to provide one, instead suggesting we pay per item to use their ironing service - insufficient lighting to do make up in the evenings, bathroom is particularly dark - spa without a jacuzzi - no meaningful gym (just a couple of running machines) All of these problems are inconsequential when compared to the fact that the hotel is opposite a nightclub. The music is audible until 5am, it is seriously loud, and even with two sets of doors and a shutter, it just is not possible to sleep. We complained but it seems the only person working overnight is a cleaner and essentially said nothing we can do it isn’t the hotel’s fault. We missed several hours of early morning skiing as a result of the hotel location opposite a nightclub. If you value your sleep or basic room amenities, stay somewhere else. In the UK or the US, the room alone in this hotel is closer to a 2* but the problem with the nightclub is so significant, I am giving this 1* as a serious warning to others.
