A lovely break. The overall experience was great, lovely staff and great location. Hotel bar staff were particularly great - we arranged a spontaneous cognac tasting which was fantastic. She introduced a variety of local and small cognac suppliers and had great knowledge. Rooms were quite basic. Some of the throws had stains on so definitely recommend upgrade of some of the upholstery, throws and cushions. Bathrooms were clean but could with some modernisation. Would revisit.

Very good hotel, rooms are great and breakfast is delicious. The location is in the middle of cognac walking distance from everywhere.

We spent 3 days in Cognac and this hotel is located on one of the major squares which features the statue of King Francoise. A lovely hotel which had parking available. The room was nicely appointed and very quiet. A restaurant serves buffet breakfast in the morning. From the hotel it's a 10 minute walk to museums and houses of Cognac. Pro tip is arrange your tours ahead of time. There is generally only one English tour per day and all the houses offer the tour in the afternoon which means you can't easily do 2 visits in a single day. We toured Hennessy and very much enjoyed our visit. It rained for most of our visit but thankfully the hotel had umbrellas for borrowing. Several good restaurants are a short walk from the hotel. Highly recommend La Maison which is Michelin recommended.
