Hôtel Hélios Opéra

We had an extremely pleasant stay at Helios. Very clean and cute room in an excellent location steps away from Parisian hotspots. The AC was working very well during the heat wave we were experiencing which was essential for our comfort. The staff are extremely friendly and I would like to specially mention Marcella who was very helpful throughout our stay. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back to stay here the next time we come to Paris.

Whilst the location is very good, this is not a real 4 star hotel. It’s a 3 at best. My room didn’t have a minibar, which I require to store medication I take very early in the morning. This was despite the fact the hotel says all rooms are equipped with one. When asking the front desk about it, they offered to keep the medication for me, which while nice from them, was not a suitable solution. Aside from falsely advertising the in-room amenities, the hotel has little to offer if you’re looking for a premium stay. This hotel should label itself a 3 star. At that rating it would be a solid option, but certainly not at this price point and when you expect a 4 star property.

Edit: to add details on why I gave this rating. Room service kept coming into my room despite having a do not disturb sign on the door. Once even walked into the room while I was in the room. The rooms are much much smaller and less elegant as advertised. A positive would be that the hotel had was very accommodating in many ways such as having an adapter for borrow.
