Pretty nice and a stunning view of conakry!
I have stayed at Hôtel Kaloum twice, and while it is rated as a 5-star hotel, my experience was mixed. The hotel itself is decent, with good food options and acceptable customer service. The staff is generally helpful, though not always the most attentive. The dining experience was pleasant, with a variety of choices that were well-prepared. However, the major issue I faced was with the room quality. During my second stay, I was assigned room 522, and it was a terrible experience. The room had a serious cockroach problem, both in the bathroom and the bedroom area. This was extremely disappointing and unacceptable for a hotel of this rating. A clean and pest-free environment should be a basic standard, especially for a 5-star establishment. Overall, while the hotel has some positives, the cleanliness of the rooms needs urgent improvement. I hope the management takes this issue seriously and ensures better maintenance in the future.
Extremely dirty. Infested of Rates and mice. Rooms smell bad. But with little effort this hotel could be top.
