Hôtel La Grange Aux Marmottes

An incredible find and beautiful place to stay. The breakfasts and dinners were wonderful. Didier was so kind and patient in all of our interactions. And as the chef, he made sure we were satisfied, including a pic nic lunch upon request. The only negative thing was poor WiFi signal in our room at the very top of the building. But perhaps that is the way to get into vacation mode quickly. Plenty of service for work emergencies in the comfortable lobby. We look forward to returning soon.

Perched high in the Pyrenees en route to Gavernie, this delightful hotel is definitely a hidden gem. Lovely staff and delicious food.

We booked a single shower room for two nights and were unfortunately given the handicap room. No windows and only a door which we had to sleep with open due to a rancid smell and the heat in the room. Uncomfortable because the main walkway was right beside our door and there were cats running around outside and people talking all night. The bed was quite dirty with hair, stains and dirt throughout the sheets. The coffee in the room and outside chairs were a nice touch. Beautiful location though and the gardens and yard and pool were well kept.
