Hôtel Le Colombier

This is a lovely hotel in the middle of a lovely village. The rooms are nice and clean. Separate toilet and bathroom. The breakfast is outrageous. Staff is friendly. Parking nextdoor. Perfect place for a good price.

I felt very comfortable and safe. I especially liked the comfort of the bed and the safety precautions for getting to my floor. Le Colombier Obernai provided a large selection for breakfast. When housekeeping forgot to add a plain bottled water to my refrigerator and stirrers to the coffee tray, the front desk remedied the situation right after I told them. When I requested more towels, I got them. I was not used to not having a washcloth, but the hotel gave me extra hand towels to use. The air conditioning was a little different but was able to make room cooler when several nights I woke in the night feeling warm (I did not open the door window because there was no screen). My room was pretty and well as the lobby and table area of the hotel. I very much liked the friendliness of the staff.

A small 4 star place. Very well located in the heart of Obernai old town. Good bathrooms, rooms lack closet space (no drawers).
