My wife said this is one of the loveliest hotels she has stayed in. Who am I to disagree. Comfy beds, hot shower beautiful gardens, lovely pool. Fabulous food and wine. The staff have that sense that nothing is to much trouble as we are all staying in this country house. The hotel is an integral part of the village. Lotus eating in bucolic France!
We had the pleasure to dine here on a warm summer evening. The experience as a whole was good but not memorable. The food was cooked to perfection yet failed to fire up the taste buds. Recommended.
Nice hotel but probably if I chose again would base myself in a village with more choice for food and activity without getting in the car - eg Domme or Sarlat but that was my mistake and other guests may prefer the amazing ambiance of this quaint hotel with excellent rooms and service. The pool is great but think the chairs are in need of an upgrade for a hotel of this standard and price. Couldn’t speak more highly of Emily on front deak who made us so welcome from the minute we arrived. Her generous advice was fantastic and Netflix should do a series “Emily in Dordogne “ - she is a superstar - Merci.
