The hotel is extremely well run, with every employee showing an interest in the guests’ comfort. The architecture of the hotel made everything for moving the luggage to the upper floors easy, from putting an elevator and a chariot on the entrance level to placing a magnet to keep the door pinned while moving in. The breakfast was delicious, with first class croissants and other Vienoiseries. An excellent location on the river Saône. .
We spent a night in this hotel. The room was comfortable. The hotel is located in a pleasant area and staff members were friendly.
Location next to river and close to town -20 min walk along river- excellent. Parking very good. Staff friendly. Rooms are dated and quite smelly - like the carpet needed a good clean. It was ok after airing the room for a while. The pool area is set in a garden but but tightly fenced off with plexiglass so you can’t access the garden and it is a little cramped and cheap looking - open it up. The setting of the pool is great but could do with charming update. For the pretty good location it is surprising that Mercure hasn’t invested a little into this property.
