Hôtel Mercure Saint Étienne Parc de l'Europe

Nice but little bit dated hotel on the hill, close to Motorway and Ecoles des Mines. Usually quite busy due to convenient location and proximity of the town, motorway. Restaurant closes at 10pm, from 11pm you can't find any food in Saint Etienne any more. There are few parking spaces. Hotel staff was helpful. Some bar games in the lobby area, spaces for conferences, wheelchair access to hotel. Not very nice view from Hotel. Rooms tidy but slightly worn already. Breakfast ok but not a big choice.

Good hotel for short stay. Little old fashioned equipped but clean and nice. Friendly and helpful staff. Nothing special for breakfast but you can find something for you.

Pretty poor for a mercure, not much local competition so they don't have to try to hard, bar shut when I visited despite hotel being busy. Restaurant is OK but expensive and often has some odd options. Has had a recent face-lift which was very overdue
