Super beautiful hotel. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Service is excellent. The grounds are gorgeous. It's right beside a river and you can hear it from your room....so relaxing. The sitting area at the bar, on the main floor, is a sweet spot to hang out...especially with a fancy coffee. They make the Irish and Spanish coffee like they used to in the 80s, with flames!! Very cool to watch! Andrée-Anne made us delicious coffees.
Our stay was five stars from start to finish. The ambiance was luxurious and the service impeccable and non-intrusive. For a hotel of a modest size, it provides guests numerous areas for unwinding, whether it is by the bar, a large window, a fire, the outdoor terrace or the river. The breakfast menu is small but carefully curated to serve different dietary needs while showcasing native flavours. We dined outdoors to the sounds of the rushing Akiawenrahk river before taking a walk through the trail. The museum and longhouse tour was about one and a half hours long with both French and English time slots. I recommend making time for it as it provides important cultural and historical context with many opportunities for asking questions. Our guide was lovely and patient but it was hard at times to hear him clearly. The exhibits in the museum were well executed which allowed us to follow along. The time we spent in the longhouse was incredibly memorable, making this a hotel stay unlike any other.
We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The room was spacious and had a great view of the surrounding nature. It was super quiet, yet close to Quebéc city. The staff was really nice and helpful. We learned the lot at the museum (our guide was great), and the restaurant served amazing food.
