Hôtel Plage Palace

The rooms were extremely spacious! The view and sandy beach was amazing. We had dinner at the restaurant on our first night, get the miso salmon! Fantastic. The hotel is filled with wellness amenities that made the stay even better: spa, gym, outdoor jaquzzi. A must stay if near the area.

If you’re looking for a Palace experience.. walk away! Went for diner with my husband. The restaurant is ok, nothing outstanding if you are eating outside, food was good but what a bad service. The waiter was clearly untrained, we had to ask for everything once or twice, bread, cutlery, water. We order different type of drinks for each step of the meal, the glass all arrived together and ended up hot. Very disappointing for a place with the word Palace in its name.

So 5 years back i wrote a very positive message. We have been coming back since. These past 2 weeks we came to the beach and to the restaurant and then booked 2 days at the hotel on top. All good. But, this evening I ordered the pepper steak, 5th time in 10 days as it is spicy and delicious. This evening they brought the steak and it wasn’t bloody at all. I let it go back as all the previous ones were perfect and this one was different. 2 min later the waiter is back with the same steak, cut in 4 pieces and informing me that the steak actually is bloody… But if chose to they’d make me a blue one. Odd as it was perfect all the times before and apparently my judgement is wrong compared to the previous 4 times… So, I took my cut up steak and ate that „FY“ from the kitchen. In 10 days I spent 2500€ here. They even brought 2 salads this evening although we had only ordered 1 and we still took it as they are very good. So we’re cool, but the cook and the kitchen visibly are not. So should your steak ever be not as you want, enjoy the cook cutting it up and sending it back out to you. Well done 5 star hotel. No tip this time and I change my previous 5 stars to this. As it appears the restaurant can tell the guests what is good and what isn’t.
