Located in a very beautiful parc of Geneva. Rooms clean but not air conditioned and so hot in the summer despite the Dyson fans. Bathrooms with washlets is a plus. Staff is polite and professional. However - the hotel’s reception is only manned until 7pm. This means going to the metropole hotel which is 5 mins by car to check in. In our case this didn’t work as the key given was not working and then we had to wait in the middle of the night for someone to bring the correct key. Lift was not working on our arrival which means we had to carry ourselves our luggage two floors up. The hotel restaurant and bar are not open throughout the day.
As a tourist visiting Geneva, the prices are utterly insane. For just a cappuccino and a coke it was 19CHF. Now I understand that everything in Switzerland is more expensive but this feels like highway robbery. We ended up leaving before ordering, gobsmacked at the prices and insulted by the staffs brusk nature and seemingly careless tone. As mentioned by others the staff appear judgy and act as if their doing their job is beneath them! Stay away, and just enjoy the beautiful parks that boasts similarly amazing views but in a much nicer format than the stuck up restaurant.
