Hôtel & Spa Vatel

I recently stayed at Hotel Vatel in Nîmes, and it was a delightful experience. Whether you're traveling for pleasure or business, this hotel is an excellent choice. The spa, pool, and fitness areas are lovely, offering a perfect place to relax after a busy day. The hospitality at the hotel is superb, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A special mention goes to Silvia at the reception, whose kindness and courtesy made me feel truly welcome from the moment I arrived. I highly recommend Hotel Vatel and will definitely return very soon.

Agreeable staff ,many spoke English. Very relaxing stay before my hospital stay. Good location for hospital visits or a quiet place to stay when visiting Nîmes. The only negative was our shower grout was dirty. We also ate there and the food was very good.

The service in this hotel is a bit peculiar because it is almost exclusively taken care of by students of the local hotel school. While everybody has to learn and I fully understand it, the client is nevertheless supposed not to be too much aware of it. The young lady in the reception was all alone in the evening and had to deal with a sizeable waiting line, the phone, the garage barrier and unfit reservation processes. This is a no go! The food in the restaurant tastes good but is apparently warmed up in the microwave. My magret de canard had a cold crust. I had a heavy stomach all night. I also was pretty underwhelmed with the waitress who spilt my wine whilst pouring it in my glass. In my 40 years hotel experience, this was a first. The location of the hotel is good close to the motorway and a busline in front of the hotel that connects in 20 minutes with the centre of the city. Rooms are spacious with a nice balcony.
