Hôtel Vitalparc The Originals Collection

Very comfortable hotel in a serene environment. We had a mixed experience at check-in with a lady initially saying that room was not ready for early check-in with no visibility on availability and a nice gentleman coming 5 minutes later to say that our room was ready. Kudos to him for taking charge and helping out.

Great hotel with relaxing vibe in the woods. Fantastic food, very attentive staff, nice pool and surrounding areas. Tip: pre-book your bike since the hotel does not rent them directly. Otherwise, they can get you a bike for next day only. Rooms 4xx are accessible by stairs only and not suitable for guests with mobility issues. Defo worth paying premium for the pool view - otherwise, your windows will overlook car park and a busy road.

What a find! We were driving up the west coast of France and found this place suggested by someone in Biarritz as another good beach/surfing town...we wanted to take beginner's surf lessons. We normally would stay at a place right on the beach, but this hotel had so many extras...we booked it for 2 days and extended it another day. A+++ Service...what wonderful staff at the hotel!! 1st ever...we left a shirt in the room and the hotel emailed us after we left...60 years old and have traveled a lot and this has never happened! Room: Clean, newer...all we needed. No coffee in the room, but I purchased instant espresso at the store. LOVED the spa and outside pool! Steam room, traditional hot sauna, cold room, whirlpool...even cardio in the pool on bikes! We never heard of Lacanau Ocean....we LOVE the town and beaches. We will be back to visit here and stay for at least a week. On another note, it is great for kids and very kid-friendly. In the town of Lacanau (not Lacanau Ocean) there is a lake with a water park with inflated structures...slides and such! Kids will love that! Thank you James, Carole and team!!!
