This is our third time visiting in 10 years and we love this place. We booked surf lessons for my 5 year old and the teachers were amazing. They catered the lessons to his age, spoke to him in English, won him over in less than 2 minutes, and he had a blast. I felt safe with them in the water and he said it was the best part of his trip. I was also impressed by the kids club and their facilities for them, although my son didn't participate.

We had a wonderful family holiday at Ibero. A definite highlight was the surf school Ondas da Alegria, located in the hotel. As a family of amateur surfers, it was perfect to combine surfing with the many other activities the hotel offers. The lessons aren't included in the hotel price, but they’re absolutely worth it – whether you're already into surfing or trying it for the first time. We’d also like to give a special thanks to Joseilton, the golf instructor, who gave us a fantastic family experience on the golf course. He was incredibly kind to our son and went above and beyond by honestly and diligently sending us the headphones we had forgotten there. We’re truly grateful! Great food, friendly staff – overall, a lovely experience we’d gladly repeat.

My 2nd time at the resort. The rooms are nice with a good bed. For the price, food and drink are left to be desired. On both stays I noticed a lot of fried foods, pizzas and sandwiches. My expectation of going to a beach resort is always seafood. The "Japones" restaurant is interesting for the games of cooks, but it is an oriental restaurant that serves rice with chicken and vegetables, guioza and about 5 types of sushi. For those who don't like smoke, they won't. Again, the experience is positive for playing with friends, since it is a shared table for about 15 people. But don't expect a Japanese experience. The pools are great. For those who have children, the beach has the right times to enjoy the sand. The sea is very rough most of the time. It has a kids area, but I didn't use it because I wasn't with kids. The spa, although beautiful, did not have the courage to invest almost 500.00 in 50 minutes of massage. But for those who are willing the environment is super pleasant and the attendants super friendly. General assessment: I wouldn't go with the family, but for a business visit it's pretty OK.
