Ibersol SPA Aqquaria

We have stayed at several places in Salou but for the price and location of this hotel, I cannot understand all the negative reviews. My partner and I stayed here recently and we could not fault anything. It's basic but clean and well maintained. Check in was efficient & friendly and the reception staff were so helpful both at check in and any time we spoke to them throughout our stay. Bar staff were also very friendly and helpful and always had a smile and chat for us, (the chilled beer glasses were a welcome addition in the heat!). Pool area was relaxing and not too overcrowded. We were also pleasantly moved to see this hotel cater for special needs adults and they did so with great respect and friendly professionalism, particularly the bar and entertainment staff. Well done to all of you. We didn't eat here so can't comment on the food but everything else was absolutely fine and we would definitely stay here again

The room was small but perfectly fine. It had a little balcony with a table and two chairs overlooking the pool area, which made it feel cozier. Ana, the pool entertainer, was super friendly from the start. The front desk staff were also very kind—we were even allowed to check in two hours early. Julio at the bar was also a lovely person. The only downside: if you're looking to rest and get some sleep, forget it. There's no sound insulation in the room, and on Saturday there was karaoke at the hotel—held outdoors by the pool area—making it impossible to sleep. Aside from that, everything else was impeccable. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options. The hotel is just one block from the beach and the town center. Highly recommended!

Great stay, but skip the food I had a lovely stay at Santa Monica Playa in Salou. The rooms were very clean, with excellent air conditioning, and the location is perfect—close to the beach and right in the heart of the city. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. There were a few downsides: the animation was minimal and only offered on weekends, possibly due to the early season. The karaoke night was fun, but the live band on Saturday was underwhelming. I had expected more entertainment overall. The biggest letdown was the food. Breakfast was very basic, and dinner was disappointing: limited and dry meat options, undercooked fries, warm desserts, and a very small selection. Advice: I definitely recommend this hotel for its comfort, cleanliness, and location—but I suggest booking without meals. The food doesn’t live up to the rest of the experience. Despite that, I look back on a great holiday and would gladly return!
