Stayed for 2 nights. As others have mentioned it has an older feel than other Ibis, but everything was fine. We asked for 2 rooms, one for a person with limited mobility and we got the first room by reception and one a bit further down. Being close to reception and lounge I was worried about the noise so we gave them the room further away (away from carpark and lobby too), apart from people talking at reception or outside our room (short conversations and not at late hours) we didn't hear anything and slept very well, the beds are very comfortable, I was fine with the pillow but my partner would've preferred another one (no extra pillows or blanket in the wardrobe) but he slept just fine. Room was smaller than in an Ibis Style but size was big enough. Wardrobe was the right size for 2 of us for 2 days and we had no problem hanging our wedding outfits (there was no iron in the room and not sure if any available at reception we didn't ask as we didn't need one). The room was warm. Shower was roomy, bodywash/shampoo and handwash were provided (no complimentary toiletries packet). Breakfast served from 6 to 10am, selection of breads, ham, charcuterie, cheese, mini pastries, Madeleines!!!, fruits, yogurts, jams and cereals. 2 coffee machines (the one at the back of the room makes cafe mocha). Staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. One lad spoke English a bit and another not so much but he tried when my partner needed help ( they had a bit of a laugh), the lady at the breakfast was very kind and even waited for a couple who was a bit late at breakfast and she made sure they had food served. Provins medieval town is about 10 min walk away, go out of the hotel, cross over the road, go towards the carpark and keep walking you will pass public toilets and the tourist information, the town is behind that. We left our car at the hotel the time for a short visit, it was no problem. If we ever are in the area again, we will stay at the hotel again, clean, big enough room for two, peaceful, quiet, sunny outdoor seating, lovely staff. They might need new English brochures at reception as they were dated 2019 but was fine using it for the town map. If you are unsteady on your feet, the ground outside the hotel is uneven and there are potholes in the carpark.
The hotel manager (owner ?) was really unfriendly. She did speak english but does not wanted to use it. They have a really friendly dog whose fur is spread all around the hotel, and does not always manage to go out if it has to go to the "Toilet" Every morning during the breakfast was sitting next to my table and looking for some food...
We have been Accor customers for a very long time. In recent years, the quality of some of the cheaper ibis hotels has deteriorated noticeably. Something like here in Provins has never happened to us, the holders of the Accor Gold Card (All). Late in the evening, our reservation was not accepted and we were offered a dirty room where someone had obviously only recently gotten out of bed. We were then refused written confirmation and de-facto kicked out of the hotel. The whole thing happened four weeks ago, and despite complaining with the photos, we haven't even heard back from the management of this awful place, let alone a refund! _____ Three months later, the reimbursement has still not been made! Accor refers to the hotel, the hotel writes from time to time in a sloppy and completely anonymous manner and points to Accor. Absolutely disgraceful.
