It's a decent hotel with friendly service. Affordable room rates with breakfast. Breakfast spread was average. Smoking rooms are available. Downside is the location. First thing Grab driver commented was, "why choose this hotel?" There are no shops within walking distance. Fortunately, booking Grab was easy and convenient. If you intend to unwind or don't want to be seen, this is the place.
Good for Business Trips, Not Ideal for Vacations We stayed at this hotel for 3 days and 2 nights. – If you’re a smoker planning a family vacation, this hotel might not be suitable. During peak season, they only provide one access card per room, and electricity in the room only works with that card. So if you go out for a smoke, your family will be left without power 🥲. We were only given a second card on the second day and because we’re lucky. – Aesthetically, the elevator looks modern and cool with a touchscreen instead of buttons. But it can be frustrating when the touch function doesn’t respond properly. 😩 – The toilet in the room follows an open-concept design. Although there’s a sliding door for privacy, I personally didn’t find it comfortable. Not sure if the top-tier rooms are different. 😀 – The soap dispenser in the bathroom still had hardened residue at the handle, which shows it wasn’t properly cleaned. 😩🤢 – We stayed on a lower floor, so if you don’t mind hearing traffic sounds, it’s fine. But light sleepers might want to request a higher floor. – The breakfast was fantastic, that’s definitely one thing I would recommend. 😋😋 – Lastly, I’d like to compliment the lady in charge of the restaurant (dressed in orange). She spoke fluent English and Malay and had such a warm and positive presence. Top notch for that. 💯 - oh there also set up a colouring booth for your kids to entertain themselves 👍
Strange policies ibis owner implemented to all hotel guests. I feel it is more of his own policies than international French Accor warmth hospitalities.. Checked in Aug 8 night. I was served by 5 day just joined new staff to Ibis name Ms Debi...Impressive as as she smiled and greeted me. She is apologetic that occupancy is full and handle my reservations well.. Aug 9 at 9am I wish to ask for new towels replace my soiled towels , the 5th floor housekeeper young boy imman says must charge towels change.. Because of i am checking out at 3pm today ? When i ask for bottled water , he says must charge for all guests ? Funny rules... Rules is if anyone ask for extra coffee or tea 🍵 bags, it will be charged.. Perhaps most hotel guests grab alot towels home or get coffee or tea bag or toothbrushes away ? Anyway towels is not ready at 10am i was told , so how to turnover rooms or clean other rooms? My fridge is not working since checked in and try calling receptionist help.. No answer Aug 8 ..I Spoken to Mr Rendy on Aug 9 all my problems.. He went up together with me 5th floor to talk to imman... Imman finally relented give me water bottled... At least Imman apologised to me sincerely... Must we all guest have to beg for water? But my fridge still not replaced.... But he is humble to apologise and listen my grouses... Breakfast was okay selections for this simple hotel... However flies is still hovering around the fruits area and dishes not hot... Coffee machine is kind of many stains ... 2 fan damaged so place is not cold enough drive away 🪰 flies ... Most hot dishes is not even warmth.. As they seems save costs on the burners on the chaffing dishes? I understand no guests will complain and just suffer in silence.. Mostly students on the job training all okay.. Bed has some stains but overall is clean even below the bed frame. Hopefully better improvements next time..
