Icon Hotel Apartments

Had issues with my room. The staff were good as they changed my room to a problem free one. The 2nd room was decent. All of the facilities were fine. The air con was very good. The staff were always helpful and the rooms and beds were fine. The location is good as lots of convenience places are close by.. the markets, shopping centres and even the airport are short distance.

We stayed for 25 nights in this hotel, in the standard studio. The room itself was half decent, but there were a lot of cockroaches, and some parts of the room definitely needed cleaning. The bed was comfortable but the sheets could use some work to remove stains. The clocking utensils were not as bad, but could have had a pan as well. Didn’t have very high expectations, and honestly didn’t get disappointed not impressed. Room service was not the best, as they sometimes completely ignored our requests when we called and asked for something, but not always. The room service was ok, but should have visited more often, as they visited every 2-3 days on average. They also didn’t give us water after the first day, so we had to buy water from outside. The location was very nice for the area, as there is a large supermarket right across the street, a 10 min walk to metro, and 15 min walk to Al Ghurair center, which was nice. The overall experience was OK, could have been a bit better.

To the Management of Icon Hotel Apartments, Good day, I would like to express my surprise and disappointment with how I was treated during my visit to a friend staying at your hotel. I traveled all the way from Hatta specifically for this visit, and upon arrival, I presented my official ID and explained that I only wished to sit with my friend in the room for a short while. Despite my full cooperation and respectful behavior, I was strictly denied entry and told that visits are not allowed after 10:00 PM, with no flexibility or alternative solution offered. As a result, I had to wait outside, which was quite unpleasant and inconsiderate. I kindly ask the management to review your visitor policy and consider being more accommodating in special cases, especially when the visitor is respectful and fully compliant with procedures.
