Idea Hotel Milano Malpensa Airport

The room at the Idea Hotel Milano Malpensa Airport was large and clean. In the lobby outside the room there was a vending machine.The room inside had toiletries and hairdryer. A curtain on the bathtub is needed to prevent water from leaking outside. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The staff were pleasant and greeted us very politely. A better decoration in a more modern style would have helped. Also on the positive side is that the hotel provides an economical shuttle bus from/to Malpensa airport (5€/person/way), which was very convenient for us. Finally, the pizzeria on the ground floor of the hotel is also a very good choice, from which we got something to eat and we thank you very much for serving us just before it closed.

Room was totally acceptable. Airconditioning worked well. Soundproofing from outside noise wasn't the best. Beds were acceptable. Biggest issue was with the hotel was the staff. I have never in my life encountered such needless rudeness from any service industry in my life. Of the 5 people that we came into contact with at the hotel only one was pleasant and had a smile. The morning lady in the restaurant making coffee. The rest were not just unpleasant, but aggressively so. For no reason at all. Simple questions were met with aggressive responses. Screwed up faces and disdain. The check-in lady just stared at me. There was no may I help you. Just staring. I asked her if I could check-in. A yes was grunted in response. It was all very bizarre and very Faulty Towers. Lift buttons didn't work. Until you figured you had to press up to go down or down to go up. The hotel served its purpose.

Great locatio, Great shuttle service. Rooms are old and needs some makeover and one smelt like there had someone been smoking inside, most likely weed. We came late in the night and after long day I did not have the strength to check for another room for swapping We had another night booked but did cancel and booked another hotel.
