Ijen Suites Hotel

A pleasant hotel in a good location. The service was very friendly. The rooms were clean, the bed very comfortable. One evening the pool area was closed for us because of some event - it will be nice if the hotel let us know about it.

Ensconced in the pleasantly cool climate of mountainous Malang is this emerald gem, a model of exquisite decor and comfort. Guests are greeted by soothing music, clear blue pools, colorful koi ponds, art elevating local culture, and friendly and professional staff. The breakfast menu is exemplary, featuring both international and national cuisine, innovative and inviting. The rooms are spacious, the neighborhood peaceful, the grounds beautiful and well kept. Highly recommended!

Stayed here for 2 days to attend wedding. Arrived at 3 pm and hungry, we ordered satay, fried rice and oxtail soup and fresh fruit juices. It took 40 mins for them to serve, oh my dear, it should not be a 4 star level hotel. Meat was chewy and cold, taste bland, even the fruit juices were too much water. Same thing when we had breakfast, i don’t think they hire professional chef in their kitchen. We stayed at junior suite, and we were so disappointed. Worn out dusty rug, dusty air ventilation and when i was about to use razor, it was rusty. I have the feeling the hotel was understaff, no one guard the pool and food stall so we have to reach restaurant staffs to order food. We’re leaving the hotel coughing and sneezing due to dust allergy. It was really bad experience for us.
