Ikaros Beach Resort & Spa Adults Only

A very lovely hotel, great location on the beach, with a nice sandy beach (clear and low water). The room was in fact a mini suite, cozy, very very clean, silent and fresh even when outside was hot. We enjoyed the great view from our terrace, the AC, the short way to the pool, to the main restaurant and to the beach. Very tasty food, great variety, friendly and carring personnel (the chef was very empathetic about my food allergy and offered personalized food❤️). It was a very pleasant vacation that we would repeat any time.

Great place for couples. Fabulous setting and amazing food. Drinks are a bit expensive but you can get your own from the local supermarket. Very popular with German guests. Probably 90% of the guests were German. Entertainment excellent apart from the DJ who mainly catered for the Germans and Germany is not renowned for its music! Only downside is the amount of smoking. Everyone seemed to be smoking everywhere. I am an ex smoker but this was a bit of surprise for a Luxury Resort and Spa.We booked a day trip to Knossos which is only 38 minutes away according to Google but with all the pick ups and drops offs, we spent nearly 4hrs on the coach. Highly recommend private transfer. We were in our hotel an hour after landing! And the room was ready. Also booked late check out until 6pm for an extra €60. Don't forget the tourist tax at €15 per day per room. We would definitely return though.

We stayed at the Ikaros resort for 5 nights with the All Inclusive deal. Our room was described by everyone upon check in as the best of the entire resort and it sure did not disappoint! If you are staying at this place, ask for room 747. The size of the room was huge plus the balcony was big enough for a party! And the view….. WOW!! The service here had an odd concept. The main pool bar closes at 3:30-4pm…. Then there is no drinks or snacks or even music so you are forced to walk across the entire resort to another bar! The towel service ends at 5pm meaning if you have just come back from a day trip and want to jump in the pool or beach for a cool down, the towel collection station is closed even though the pool is open until 10pm. We got the ‘All Inclusive’ deal but that was a scam…… it definitely is NOT All Inclusive! Only certain drinks were included. 5 restaurants but you only have access to a buffet. ‘Snacks’ throughout the day is like a kids menu serving nuggets and chips even though its an adults only resort. I must say however the staff there were super nice and friendly and welcoming, especially Nikos at reception and Wendy from the Spa! They are incredible employees!
