We had the most wonderful 5-day stay at this beautiful property just outside San Gimignano, and it’s all thanks to the incredible hospitality of our hosts – Simone & Ricardo, and Sandra & Nicoli. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel completely at home. Their warm, welcoming nature and attention to detail truly made our experience unforgettable. The highlight of our stay was the unforgettable 4-course meal served in the atmospheric cellar room. It was a magical evening – the ambiance was charming and intimate, and the food was absolutely exquisite. Each course was beautifully presented and full of rich, authentic flavours. You could tell it was made with love and passion. Dining in that unique setting was a once-in-a-lifetime experience we’ll never forget. Our 2-bedroom villa was immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. Every corner of the space was spotless, and it was clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining it to the highest standard. The villa was well-equipped, tastefully decorated, and offered plenty of space for us to relax and unwind. One of the standout features was the stunning views across the Tuscan countryside. Whether enjoying a morning coffee or relaxing in the evening, we were constantly drawn to the breathtaking.

Unforgettable experience. Simona, Ricardo, Niccola, Sandra, etc were amazingly kind and caring during our stay. The cooking class is a must. The dinners are unbelievably good. Let Niccola choose your wine. Location is perfect. Views are amazing. Rooms are comfortable and high quality. Really one of our best of many experiences in Tuscany! We will return again and again.

My wife and I had a great stay over 4 nights during May. Located about 10 km from San Gimignano, which is only a 10 minute drive or pleasant 1 hour walk, and not far from Sienna. Property sits among the vineyards overlooking a typical picturesque Tuscan valley. The property has plenty of outdoor spaces including a lovely large pool. Our room was a converted ‘barn’ on the lower floor which was outfitted nicely but was a little bit dark. We could have rented a lighter room with a view for a higher cost. The restaurant was open 3 days per week and served a quality set menu. Breakfast could be ordered for the mornings. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There was only some minor negatives regarding the stay. The heating is not available outside the winter months so the room could get a little bit cool, fixed by wearing another layer of clothing. The bed was too firm for our tastes and the shower small. Unfortunately wifi was only available in the public areas. Otherwise I would recommend a quiet, very relaxed stay at Il Borghetto.
