This is not a 4 star hotel, please read the reviews before booking and take note. We have booked to stay here 11th-14th June. The original room we were given had an ant infestation above the bathroom door and we were constantly attacked by mosquitos. When we complained about the ant infestation we were offered another room for our final night which we accepted. We were told to take our belongings to the room and it would be cleaned whilst we were out for the day, the bed already had fresh sheets, it just needed a general tidy and the bathroom cleaning and fresh towels bringing to the room. We returned back to the hotel after a day out and this had not been done. The showers in the rooms are faulty, they do not work properly. The hotel seems as though it was a beautiful place previously however it has been left to go to disrepair. There are no facilities as described, no spa, no sauna etc. In general this has not been a positive experience. Please read the reviews and take note to avoid disappointment.

The room is infested with 100's of ants near the bathroom doorway There are also mosquitoes inside the light in the bedroom, keeping us awake, as well as biting constantly through the night The whole hotel is in disrepair, which is such a shame, as you can tell at one point. This was a nice place It is now a far cry from this Please do not let the pictures on the website decieve you

I chose this property mainly for the services it offered, but unfortunately, I didn't get to enjoy any of them. The indoor area, which was supposed to include two pools, a jacuzzi, and a Turkish bath, was completely out of service (the jacuzzi was even emptied and rusted). The outdoor area could only be used if you tried not to think about it—the pools were very neglected, and what they claimed to be thermal waters were in a truly dilapidated state. There was even moss around the tiles of the pools where you're supposed to immerse yourself. The only service provided was breakfast, which also left much to be desired. There was only one lady managing the bar and buffet, so items were often missing from the buffet, which was already quite meager, and there was a line for coffee. The room cleanliness was terrible—our linens were never changed during our five-day stay, and the bathroom was in such a poor state it was almost nauseating. Even the common areas were not clean or well-maintained. It was disappointing because the hotel is in a great location for reaching all the main spots, particularly the center of Forio, which is wonderful, and the Bay of Citara, with its crystal-clear waters. It's an old structure that, if well-maintained, would have great potential both aesthetically and strategically. The only positive note: the breathtaking view at sunset. To make matters worse, the milk served at breakfast was expired, which caused stomach issues for our entire stay."
