Il Sereno Lago di Como

The hotel offers a wonderful view, and the rooms are spacious with good features. However, the outdoor spa and swimming pool can be a drawback in cold or rainy weather. On the plus side, the spa is private, allowing you to reserve it for yourself for an hour. Unfortunately, the hotel lacks a hair salon, which would be a valuable amenity given its distance from the city. While the food tastes good, the portions are somewhat small.

The architecture, the views, and the atmosphere are unlike anything else on the lake — minimalist, refined, and deeply serene. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we had stepped into a curated dream. A very special thank you to Georgios, whose warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail truly elevated our experience. He ensured every part of our stay — from property exploration to our day-to-day plans — was executed smoothly and always right on time. His genuine hospitality and deep knowledge of the property made us feel at ease and completely taken care of. Il Sereno is more than a hotel — it’s an experience in design, peace, and precision. We’ll return in a heartbeat.

Overall, our stay was wonderful—the property is stunning, the views are breathtaking, and the service was generally very good. Don’t get me wrong—my lower rating is not because the hotel lacks cleanliness or beauty. However, when you’re paying a premium to stay at a property of this caliber, your expectations naturally rise to meet that level. Unfortunately, the housekeeping fell short of those expectations. On two consecutive days, the bed linens had visible stains, and on one occasion, there appeared to be a bloodstain. This was not only disappointing but also unsettling, and it genuinely impacted the overall experience. For a hotel of this standard, such lapses simply shouldn’t happen. I hope this feedback is taken constructively and leads to improvements, as the hotel has so much potential to deliver a truly flawless experience.
