illi Sun Shimokitazawa

We really enjoyed staying in Shimokitazawa during our three days in Tokyo. It is relaxed, but interesting, with lots of independent shops, bars and restaurants. It is easy to travel from the apartment to central Tokyo for sightseeing. The apartment was airy and spacious, with comfortable beds, and had everything we needed.

Amazing rooms with lovely view of city. Fabulous location above gorgeous little alleyways and streets. Comfortable beds and lovely bathroom and toilet. Only thing that could be improved would be a better shower as the water pressure was not treated. Everything else was 10/10 though!

Outrageously spacious room (by Tokyo standards) with generously sized beds. Clean & tidy with great facilities. Location was everything we hoped for - super convenient to transport, food, shopping. No TV in our room (but not really missed by the teenagers) and laundry/ shower had a lingering “sewage smell” (not sure why??). Even with the construction work outside, it wasn’t too noisy. The wifi was down when we tried to check-in, so the iPad check-in process did not work :( No answer on the phone number listed :( Luckily email queries were answered pretty promptly and after a few back-and-forth emails we got the code that let us into the room (phew!). Overall would still choose to stay here again because the location & neighbourhood were fantastic
