Decent hotel. Close to Sagrada Família, only a 10 minute or so walk. The room was an ok size, the bathroom was a little grubby in places but we only stayed 3 nights so wasn’t a big deal. They also held our suitcases for 5 hours after checkout before we had to leave for the airport which was good.

My friend and I recently stayed at this hotel for a few nights, and were both disappointed in the quality of the experience. For two of the nights, our room was without functioning air conditioning. This significantly impacted our comfort and ability to sleep, especially given the warm weather. We reported the issue to staff at the front desk, but it was not resolved in a timely matter. We also didn't get the impression the issue was being taken seriously. In addition, we were quite disappointed with the overall condition of the room. I had chosen the hotel over another in Barcelona based on your photos and positive reviews, but the room we received fell short of expectations. There were visible signs of wear and tear, including a stained lampshade and curtains, as well as chipped furniture and doors. This isn't a complaint against housekeeping staff, who were GREAT, but about the wear and tear of the room over time. I was in touch with the hotel and the Ilunion hotel company about these issues and have received no response from either. The neighbourhood was lovely. Highly recommend if you don't want to be surrounded by tourists and instead get more of an experience of living there as a local.

A very disappointing experience, far from the 4-star standard the hotel advertises. Don’t be fooled it should honestly be rated 1 or 2 stars at most. The only positive point is the location: just a 10 minute walk from the Sagrada Família and 2 minutes from a metro station. Trying to sleep after 7 a.m. is truly impossible. The walls are paper-thin, and every sound from the hallway and nearby rooms is clearly heard. Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. From day one, it was clear that hygiene and care are not priorities here. The only way to get a somewhat restful night’s sleep is to keep the AC on but even that has a 2 hour limit, otherwise water starts leaking from the ceiling. We even had to place a bucket in the room to avoid everything getting soaked. The AC filters are full of dust, so in short: either you sleep at a normal temperature or you wake up with wet feet and a sore throat. We do not recommend this hotel and regret choosing it. Honestly, it’s better to spend an extra €500 and stay somewhere that actually provides these basic services.
