Our view of the mountains was not the best. In our reservation is said a south facing balcony but this was east facing so quite disappointed about that. Tough we could still see some mountains and if the side fence was cut down a bit the view would have been much better. Otherwise a very perfect and good stay. The morning buffet could be improved but the evening restaurant was very high quality and the staff offered some of the best service we had on our entire stay.
I had the chance to travel on all continents apart from Australia, and in the most prestigious hotels. The friendliness and dedication of the personnel at your hotel belong to the absolute top. The food is Michelin star level. We will come back!
Mixed feeling about this resort, mostly because of poor service and food choice for half board. Let’s start with what we didn’t like in this resort - upon arrival nobody helped us to carry the luggage to your room and when i asked the receptionist why he did not come to help he said i had to ask him Next time i will not forget to ask his majesty to kindly give me hand - there is no valet to park your car. I suspect the management did not want to hire one for fear of having issues with damage in the tight car park. However during our stay, customers complained others clients damaged their véhicule so i don’t understand why they dont want to hire a valet! Be prepared for a tight car park and park as close to the wall as you can. - the receptionist forgot to tell us we had to put towels on the floor to be changed. Not being a psychic we stayed two days with the same towels. -water is given to you once in the room but have no fear tap water is excellent. A glass bottle to refill would have been more practical but i dont think service was part of the management vocabulary. -the concierge is clueless about the best restaurant to eat and send us in very average place. Luckily TripAdvisor ranked them. - finally if you take half board you will have to choose a main course between meat, local specialities drowned in cheese or a veggie bathing in a creamy sauce. Diabetic and high cholesterol customers should avoid this option. But we had some very good surprises as well: - you must take the mountain suit. You got a 65sqm room facing the unobstructed view of the mountain and it is a delight to awake basking in the morning sunlight. The smaller rooms have view on each other or building and the price difference is really worth it. -housekeeping is very efficient and amazed us how they would know we were out and service swiftly our room - if you take half board ask to be in Eugénie area as she is one of the best waitress we ever had regardless of the country. Her care, her professionalism, her kindness and her smile will compensate for the very average food. - should you prefer to have some fish instead of the “die of cholesterol meal” please ask Eric the restaurant manager and he will work with the kitchen to accommodate you. Without his help, we would have eaten outside every night. Now you know what to expect should you choose this resort.
