Imperial Hotel Cork City

The Imperial Hotel in Cork is, without a doubt, the best hotel we stayed at during our trip to Ireland! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the reception staff who made the check-in process smooth and welcoming. The ambiance of the hotel is truly royal, with elegant decor that immediately sets the tone for a special stay. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and both the bedroom and bathroom felt luxurious and thoughtfully designed. We were welcomed with light snacks, which was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel right at home. There’s a lovely lobby lounge with coffee available, and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic—a perfect blend of traditional Irish fare and continental options, all fresh and delicious. I honestly can’t think of a single thing that was lacking. From the warm and attentive staff to the immaculate cleanliness and stunning decor, this was easily the best hotel experience we had in Ireland. I only wish we had stayed longer—highly recommend to anyone visiting Cork!

We had wonderful experiences in Imperial hotel. Started with Irena welcoming us at the desk. She set the tone and from there on we loved our stay. Rooms were lovely, although historic. Hotel is a small museum of all the famous people that stayed there in a past. Loved that Victorian feeling as soon as you walk in. Cleanliness was very good and no issues there. F&B was a different story. Disappointing at best. However, if in Cork, I would choose this hotel again.

Loved our hotel, well located in heart of commercial banking center, fantastic cocktail bar, very finely crafted, friendly staff and excellent service. It is a historic property, undergoing typical maintenance & repairs. Our room window faces the Main Street front, it cooled off during our late July visit and some air leaked on one of the panes (actually felt nice and cool for a summer stay). Elevators are typically small but a minor inconvenience, I highly recommend it for business and short term use.
