Imperial Hotel Ostrava

Nice and easy to reach hotel located in the city centre. Next to two train stations. The central railway station is in 20 minutes by train. Staff is helpful. The breakfast is tasty and sufficient. Hotel rooms are, to a large extent, soundproof.

For the price, this is not recommended at all. I paid €160 for a single room (including breakfast and parking). The room was clean but very outdated and worn (1990s style). The lock didn’t work properly, the light switch fell off, the shower had very low pressure, and the air conditioning was old and noisy. Overall, it was not worth the money. The reception and lounge area were adequate. Perhaps they have more upscale rooms for the same price, but I wasn’t offered any. Not recommended.

Probably the worst stay I've had recently. I called twice, which we checked was the right number. The receptionists didn't pick up the phone when I wanted to check if everything was OK with our modified booking. They hadn't modified it according to the email. It took about 30-40 minutes to get to our room and even though I paid for 2 persons they first gave me a single room. The shower was slippery and steep inside I almost fell. I had to ask extra for the parking key although I paid. At least the room was clean. From about 4 am we woke up every 10 minutes because of the screeching sound of the trams that turn nearby. Awful. We were very much waiting for the breakfast to have a good experience. It was good and plentiful, but they managed to dilute the 100% juices to 50% fruit content, so we couldn't notice what we were drinking. All that for a very high price, I guess I'll never return. With these circumstances, the best would be to demolish the building, how can you operate a hotel with such loud noises?
