Impiana Resort Chaweng Noi

A luxury resort location in a quiet and beautiful section of the Chaweng beach. Rooms are kept clean and comfortable. Very nice amenities such as a pool, beach, gym and restaurant. Our stay was enjoyable, cannot relate to the other negative reviewers. The only complaint I have is that the prices of food and drinks are VERY expensive. We ended up just walking 5 minutes away to 7 Eleven and local smaller restaurants and got the same meals and drinks at less than x3 the price. Other suggestions I have is to provide more options. They are well suited to rent out snorkelling gear, beach games, laundry, and others, but do not offer it as of writing this.

During our stay at Impiana Resort Koh Samui, we unfortunately experienced the coldest welcome of our entire trip from the receptionist. Overall, the facilities feel somewhat neglected, and the staff’s attitude comes across as distant, almost as if our presence was unwelcome. It is a real pity, as the hotel enjoys an excellent location and the surrounding beach is truly stunning.

Avoid this place at all costs. This is NOT a 4 star hotel, would not even give it 2. I have traveled extensively all over the world and this is one of the worst lodging experiences I’ve had. First of all, the room we paid for was misrepresented as a balcony with ocean view- got placed into a very noise street view room with no balcony. Staff was very familiar with this complaint and were quick to divert my questions, they must run this scam frequently. Property is overall extremely run down, poorly maintained and mismanaged. Beach is poorly maintained with lack of sunbeds on beach or pool deck. Room is super dingy, old and dirty. Bed is so uncomfortable. Bathroom with terrible lighting. Our room smelled very strongly like a dead animal immediately upon check in, complained repeatedly and staff just came and sprayed air freshener. Asked to switch rooms and they said they couldn’t. No hot water any of the days, complained repeatedly with no help. Would call the front desk and they would repeatedly hang up right away to avoid having to speak - particularly the front desk attendant “Nam”. So unfriendly and unhelpful. Restaurant is horribly over priced for disgusting food. Breakfast below average. Bar is totally unequipped and uninviting. Tried to ask for cancellation of the rest of our stay and they wouldn’t help. Hotel right on a busy highway, horrible traffic noise with poorly insulated rooms. Worst hospitality and service I’ve ever received in Thailand. Take your money elsewhere.
